Just another day in paradise!

I love this heat wave that has hit southern California since Christmas! It's just awesome for my mood and the best way to start off the new year!

The sun puts a smile on my face and practically begs us to go out and play! Well, after about a week of WANTING to find a sprinkler toy for Lexi to play with outside, my mom told me I could or should just get a regular one for her instead. It was $2 at Target, so I snatched it up... and it was the best $2 entertainment ever! I love going into the backyard, turning the hose on and just sitting back and watching Lexi have loads and loads of fun!

My "resolution" is to play outside more often this year! I really want to soak in the sunshine and enjoy ever second of the beautiful Orange County Weather... I'm not exactly sure how much life will change come this summer, but I imagine it changing dramatically. I can't believe in 5 short months, I'll be a mommy of TWO beautiful little girls!! I just can't wait to meet Sienna! :)

Speaking of life changing when we become a family of 4, we began the project of making Lexi's room into a shared space for the two girlies! :) My mom was so awesome and gave us a furniture set that is perfect for the space! :) We just have to get Lexi a new bedding set and mattress and she's set! :) She seems really excited, so I hope the transition from crib to bed is a smooth one for her! I'll take pictures when it's all done, but in the meantime, I'm definitely having so much fun picking everything out!!
It makes me a little sad that switching her to a big girl bed means that she's turning into a big girl. It's sooooo hard to believe that I'll have a newborn and a two year old by July!! Where does the time go!? I can't wait for June to be here, but we'll most DEFINITELY be enjoying every second of our time left as a family of 3. Lexi is the center of our world right now and she definitely loves eating up all the attention! :)

ps- no one ever told me how much fun it is to be a mommy of a 1 1/2 year old. Lexi is a crack up!!! This is by FAR my favorite age! I can sit back and watch her dance and sing along to this video all day long:
